Freeze treat for my bratty husky

I have been browsing online for some natural and organic homemade recipe for Cloudy. Suddenly I am so into cooking.. WTH 😛 I found some really easy to make and simple recipe that’ll still do wonders for Cloudy. I found it on pinterest btw. I totally forgotten who I should credit too, but if you are reading this blog, please know that I have no intention of stealing any copyright.

What you need?

1 x tablespoon of peanut butter (make sure is the natural peanut butter soft type). You can put 1 teaspoon instead if you don’t want too much of the strong peanut butter taste.

2 x tablespoon of natural yogurt. My favorite yogurt brand is Farm Fresh

1 x sheet of baking paper

1 x tray that can withhold cold in the freezer

How to make?

Mix the yogurt and peanut butter in a small bowl.

Make sure is stirred to thoroughly mixed.

Once it is done mixing, slowly scoop into the freezer tray. You can use a plastic place and put a baking paper on top then scoop onto it. Give it like 2cm space in between each set. I wanted to do some funny shape, so I put onto a ice tray.

Then put into the freezer and freeze for 30 minutes or more. By the time of about half and hour, you can see that it’s already set and when you touch it is hard and not creamy soft. Then it is ready to serve your ‘little one’. I leave the remaining ones for days in the freezer. I noticed that the longer you put inside the freezer to set, the more tastier it will look. (This is just my wild perception)

Taking out will be a pain in the ass if you did not put onto the baking paper. My 1st round was hell. But I managed to use small teaspoon to slowly scrape of the side and scrape it out completely. But the shape was a little off!

Using the same method, I tried with other flavors too. Using fresh bananas I got from the super market. I mashed it and add in yogurt and in the same way freezes it.

Personal opinion as a ‘human’; I prefers the banana. Yes I tasted it myself too. Like ice cream. But judging from Cloudy’s reaction towards the two flavors, he is more excited to the peanut butter. I think maybe is the stronger scent and taste from the peanut butter. Note: Peanut butter have to feed in moderation to your pup-child, so make sure if you make anything peanut butter, do observe their intake and their poop. Cloudy take 1 peanut butter freeze a day and his poop is perfect as usual. I have not fed him more than once, but if you’d like to try, do share what’s your observation 🙂

If you are a lazy parent, there’s even a faster and easier way to make a freeze treat! Just cut the fresh banana into small cubes and put into your ice tray, fill up with water and freeze it like how you make ice cube. Voila, the perfect freeze treat for them to lick till kingdom come. I gave five of these to Cloudy and he took like 10 minutes to be done licking. Totally perfect to take his attention away from my busy house chores schedule. You can replace the fruit with apples if  you’d like.
